social media success

In this week’s episode, I continue walking you through the Social Media Strategy worksheet that we started in Episode 89. This week we look at creating content, leveraging your content so you’re not always on the content creation hamster wheel, managing your time and what to measure when it comes to your social media efforts.

Key Takeaways

  • When it comes to creating content for your blog, Facebook, Twitter think of what questions your clients ask you about often, how can you share your expertise?
  • Repurpose! You don’t always have to be creating new content but think about how you can get that content in front of different audiences. For example, turn a blog post into a podcast/audio post and share it on SoundCloud, turn a webinar into a SlideShare presentation
  • Manage your time: schedule your core social media in advance and then spend time during the week engaging and answering questions

I loved how you schedule your social media interactions throughout the week. Getting the bulk of the posts done in advance and then popping into groups mostly to answer questions and be social is a great idea. Now onto actually implementing that idea 🙂

Re-purposing is a great idea! Since our website deals with sexual health, it can be difficult to get people to interact on Facebook. But we could try to branch out to reach more people!

Great article! I am so archaic and by NO means technologically or social media savvy. Any tips/pointers are great. Great article!

Thanks, Dee! I think it really depends on the type of content as certain type of content is better suited for written and others audio. I personally love listening to podcasts but if it’s something specific how-to related I prefer a quick video.

Repurposing is definitely something I need to get better at! I tend to put pressure on myself to create different things but need to remember that less is more. Great tips Sandy!
